What to Expect During Treatment
Treatment length varies depending on the severity of the case. Simple alignment issues may take six to twelve months, while more complex corrections can take up to two years. You will visit our Fallowfield practice every four to eight weeks for adjustments. There may be some discomfort after each adjustment, but this typically fades within a day or two. We provide advice on looking after your braces and which foods to avoid during treatment.
After Your Braces Are Removed
Once your braces come off, you will need to wear a retainer to keep your teeth in their new position. Teeth have a natural tendency to shift back, so retainer wear is essential. We offer both fixed bonded retainers and removable clear retainers. Your dentist will advise on the best approach for your situation.
